1. Eye damage: Harmful blue light has extremely high energy, which can penetrate the lens and reach the retina, causing the atrophy or even death of retinal pigment epithelial cells. The death of light-sensitive cells can lead to decreased vision or even complete loss of vision, and this damage is irreversible. Blue light can also cause macular degeneration. The lens in the human eye will absorb part of the blue light and gradually become cloudy to form cataracts, while most of the blue light will penetrate the lens, especially in children, the lens is clear and cannot effectively block blue light, which is more likely to cause macular degeneration and cataracts.

2. Visual fatigue: Due to the short wavelength of blue light, the focus point does not fall in the center of the retina, but a bit further forward from the retina. To see clearly, the eyes will be in a state of tension for a long time, causing visual fatigue. Long-term visual fatigue may lead to symptoms such as deepening myopia, diplopia, easy serialization when reading, and inability to concentrate, affecting people's learning and work efficiency.

3. Poor sleep: Blue light will inhibit the secretion of melatonin, and melatonin is an important hormone that affects sleep. It is known to promote sleep and regulate jet lag. This can also explain why playing mobile phones or tablets before going to bed can cause poor sleep quality or even difficulty falling asleep.

For various types of LED light-emitting display devices such as TVs, computers, PADs and mobile phones, manufacturers often increase the blue light intensity of LED backlights in order to make their image quality brighter and more beautiful. With the popularization of these electronic products and penetration into all aspects of life, The exposure of everyone to blue light has increased dramatically. For ordinary people, blocking blue light exposure for a long time is the most effective way to reduce damage, and the use of anti-blue light glasses can effectively solve this.
