This trial lens set has already paid for itself. I took my original prescription from three years ago and loaded up the corresponding lenses into the lens frame and then did some minor modifications for my distance and close-up and got considerable improvement. Then went on the Internet and entered my new prescription and got bifocals at quite a discount compared to what you would receive going to a optician. I am not saying that this set is for everybody. But if you are technically inclined and can accurately interpret a previous prescription, it is fairly easy to do. Of course everyone is different. I took a chance and bought this set. It turned out to be a very good investment. I've never been a big fan of phoroptors. Every eye exam I have had with those machines has been for the most part a very hurried experience. With this lens set, you can take your sweet time, experiment with the different lenses and feel really satisfied with the result. I am impressed with the variety
